Provost Communiqué

Office of the Executive Vice President and the Provost

New graduate assistant eligibility information

May 30, 2019 by Chuck Busby

Please note the recent changes to Op3.16-1 Student Eligibility for Graduate Assistantships.

  • It is not necessary to enroll in summer coursework as long as the GA is enrolled in the subsequent fall semester.
  • A GA may enroll in as little as one credit hour during the final semester as long as she or he has applied to graduate.
  • GAs may receive extra compensation for occasional special opportunities, but these exceptions must be approved beforehand by the Dean of the Graduate College.

Please contact the Graduate College at 836-5335 if you have questions.
