City Utilities of Springfield is continuing work to replace the water main that runs along Holland Avenue.  The new water main is in place and City Utilities crews will be making cross connections to other water mains and connecting services in the area.

On Wednesday, November 22, 2017 crews will be working on Holland Avenue near Strong Hall to connect the water service and fire service for that building to the new water main.  This work will require that domestic water service and fire service to the building will be turned off from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Plumbing in the building will not be available during that time.  Holland Avenue will remain open to traffic but lanes may be restricted and the sidewalk on the east side of the street may be impacted.
