The MSU office of safety & transportation, radio communications center is celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicator’s Week April 8-14. The week honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
The MSU radio communications center serves as the communication hub for the University, processing tens of thousands of telephone calls annually and dispatching our public safety officers to over 18,000 calls for service. In addition, dispatch personnel monitor security cameras and fire/burglar alarms. The unit is staffed with four full-time and four part-time radio communications officers along with a full-time manager.
