Please be advised that the ventilation systems at Carrington Hall will be upgraded this summer. The work to be performed includes replacing two air handling units on the roof, adding new piping from the basement to the roof for future use, and installing a reheat unit and carbon dioxide sensors in the auditorium. Work will commence May 28 and be complete before the fall semester.
Areas of impact:
- Vending: The vending machines on the first floor will be condensed to the north side vending area.
- Hallways: The first and third floor hallways will have work overhead above the ceiling, necessitating removal of ceiling tile for an extended period of time.
- Auditorium: Work will be performed on the stage and the classroom, but will not interrupt scheduled events.
- Offices: Periodic work in some offices will occur, with advance notification to those impacted. We will work to minimize interruptions.
