In anticipation of the very cold temperatures we are expecting overnight tonight and into next week, we will be transitioning buildings from cooling to heating today.  The affected buildings include the following:

·        Carrington Hall

·        Cheek Hall

·        Craig Hall

·        Plaster Stadium west grandstand

·        University Bookstore

·        University Hall

Air conditioning in these buildings was turned off yesterday afternoon to allow systems to warm up slowly and avoid excessive stress on the systems.  Maintenance staff will work through the day today to turn on heating in these buildings.  Because temperatures will be warm today it is likely these buildings will become warmer than desirable, but due to the time it takes to switch buildings to heating and the timing of the arrival of the cold outdoor temperatures this cannot be avoided.
