Focus on your classes. Finish strong. Care for each other. – Missouri State University President Clif Smart.
From the very top, the message is clear: Missouri State University cares about its most valuable resource – our students. Now more than ever, caring means finding a balance between keeping everyone healthy and providing the essential services so that you can focus on what is important and be successful. Your Student Financial Aid office takes this mission to heart, and here is how we will help you succeed:
Our office in Carrington Hall 101 will remain open and hours will not change. This is intended for students who have no other reasonable means of reaching us. Of course, this may change as the university adapts to new information about the outbreak.
Appointments will continue, but will be limited to phone, zoom, skype, or other telecommunication method. Call us to schedule an appointment. 417-836-5262.
Staff are learning new skills in the event that some are asked to work from home, or that others voluntarily stay home to reduce the spread of the outbreak.
We are anticipating ways this outbreak may impact your financial aid in the future. We are adapting our processes to these circumstances to the extent possible.
We are communicating with other resources on campus such as ResLife, Study Away, and the Bear Pantry
We’re going digital. We are able to receive and process documents from secure, remote work spaces. There should be no interruption in our ability to process most of the information you send us.
We encourage students to send documents by email (FinancialAid@Missouristate.edu) or fax (417-836-8392). We are confident in the security of these channels.
Our Twitter account will be monitored 24/7. While some information may not be available 24/7 or can’t be shared over social media, we are still listening. @MSU_FinAid
Looking out for each other is everyone’s responsibility.
Be well,
The Office of Student Financial Aid
