Can you believe that the 2021-2022 FAFSA is almost open?!

Even though we’ve just begun the 2020-2021 academic year, it’s time to start planning and applying for next year’s aid.

To begin, The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2021-2022 school year will open on October 1, 2020. We encourage all students to complete a FAFSA and to do it as early as possible. However, we strongly all students to complete the FAFSA no later than February 1, 2021, which is the priority submission deadline for both the State of Missouri as well as MSU.

Even if you have scholarships, this is important. Filing your FAFSA before the priority deadline ensures you’ll be eligible for as much federal and state financial aid as possible next year.

Next, be sure to complete the MSU Foundation Annual Scholarship Application to apply for nearly 1,000 donor funded scholarship opportunities. The 2021-2022 application will open on November 1, 2020 and can be completed until March 1, 2021. The application can be accessed under the “Student” tab of your My Missouri State account.
