Cue the confetti — we’re excited to invite you to make FAFSA corrections (if needed).
The 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)’s window for making corrections is open! Do you need to edit or update to your FAFSA information? Now you can.
Making corrections to your FAFSA ensures accurate financial aid. Our office uses this data when we calculate your best possible aid package for the next academic year.
This is also your opportunity to fix any issues or problems that might have resulted in a rejected FAFSA submission.
Who should make corrections?
You may need to make corrections if:
- Your initial FAFSA submission had incorrect information.
- A technical glitch prevented you or a contributor from signing the FAFSA.
- The Office of Student Financial Aid emailed you last week about your rejected FAFSA and you haven’t submitted a correction.
Check your FASFA submission status on your FAFSA Dashboard at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. Or review your FAFSA Submission Summary, sent to the email address included on your FAFSA
Instructions for making corrections

Important reminder – don’t wait to make changes
Don’t delay. We want to emphasize the importance of making corrections promptly. If your FAFSA status is currently marked as “rejected” this is especially important. A rejected FAFSA is not be eligible for federal and state financial aid, or some scholarships.
Correct your FAFSA and you will be eligible for more aid. So, we strongly encourage anyone with a rejected FAFSA status to make the necessary corrections as quickly as possible to ensure eligibility for financial aid.
Note: The FAFSA is still experiencing occasional periodic downtimes. The U.S. Department of Education continues to update the online form and the correction submission process. Make any corrections at your earliest opportunity. You may need to be patient.
