Finance Dashboard – Defects fixes-10.23.2023

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, MSU IT team will install & apply the Ellucian Banner quarter 3 upgrade into production database, once upgrade is complete, you will see changes (improvement) in Finance Dashboard for listed areas:

  • My Finance Query – Replace Budget Quick Query with Budget Status by Account as the default Query Type for the Select Query Type dropdown selection list.—-This one is a good fix from Ellucian as I know most people don’t use Quick Query as it does not allow the drill down for detail of expenditure. Making Budget Status by Account as default is the correct way to start and this fix/change improves the work efficiency.
  • View Document – Restore capability (from SS8) to view Check’s Transaction Date with the Related Documents section for View Document.—-still working with Ellucian to try getting them to make the transaction date for other documents (Requisition, PO or Invoice) to display. 
  • View Document – Restore advanced search functionality from Banner 8 for View Document: Added a search button labeled Document Number Lookup on the View Document page (the button uses a magnifying glass icon) that opens a lookup parameter page for users to lookup requisitions they have entered from specific vendor and date range.
  • My Requisitions, My Journals – When a requisition or journal voucher is deleted from Self-Service 9 (Finance Dashboard), ensure that the attachments are also deleted from BDM at the same time according to user input.

Finance Dashboard Training Guides has been updated to reflect those changes.

NEW My Missouri State portal – Finance department

With the NEW My Missouri State portal coming on March 15, 2023, we are providing the information below to help you better navigate or find cards that fall under financial departments.

Financial departments have a total of 7 cards, and the number of cards or items listed on each card can change as systems, policies or procedures change. We will do our best to communicate changes as they occur.

Three cards under office of Finance Services: Finance Resources, Finance – Other Resources & Finance Forms One card under Office of Accounts Receivable: University Account – Billing; One card under Bursar’s Office: Bursar’s Office

Banner Finance SSB9 – Work Recourses Tab Change

Greetings, all Banner Finance Users,

Banner Finance Self-Service SSB9 (also called My Finance Dashboard) will be available under the Work Resources tab of MyMissouriState on August 22, 2022 to replace the existing Self-Service Banner 8. Click here to see the change details that will happen on August 22, 2022.

Payment Request Form in Dynamic Forms

Good morning, all Banner Finance Users,

This is a reminder of Payment Request Form change effective October 1, 2021.

We are replacing the paper (PDF) Payment Request Form with an online form under Dynamic Forms. This change will be effective October 1, 2021 and is simply moving the paper form to Dynamic Forms so that it allows financial services office to collect signature/approval electronically, securely and more efficiently. You can access this new form at Payment Request Form.

To allow time for this transition we will keep the old PDF payment request form online (for download/use under e-Form) until October 1st 2021 after that date, the old PDF form will no longer be available or accepted. We encourage all users to begin using the new Payment Request Form as soon as possible. You may email us at BannerFinance@MissouriState.edu for any question or concerns.
