Regardless of all obstacles and challenges, being the First Gen. in my family has been my strength that I harnessed to pursue my education and set a good example for others. Whenever I was going through the hard times, the trust and expectations my family had on me helped me to push through challenges and put one foot in front of the other. Since I am new here at MSU, I have not taken any courses or utilized services that helped me in my academic career so I cannot recommend or share my experience.
