We were excited to announce a record year in fundraising in Fiscal Year 2010.   We broke last years record by $500,000 and we hope to announce a new record at the end of June 2011.   Our celebration is not for just breaking a record but we celebrate what these gifts will do to advance education at Missouri State University.     Dr. James Cofer starts as the new President in August and I know he is excited about getting to know our alumni, donors and friends from coast-to-coast.   I know you will welcome Jim and his wife Deborah to the MSU family.   We are planning many gatherings in and out of the state of Missouri so you will have an opportunity soon to get to know them.   Funding for the fiscal year 2012 budget will be very difficult and private support is needed now more than ever.    State scholarship money is getting smaller so students will need as much private scholarship opportunities as possible.    Your help is appreciated this past year and I know we can count on our donors and friends to help in the future.     Thank You for all you do and I am anxious for you to meet the Cofer’s!
