Courtney Rellergert is a graduate student at Missouri State completing her master’s in Business Administration with an Entrepreneurship Certificate.
After discovering her passion for marketing in high school, it led her to Missouri State where she completed her B.S. in Marketing Research and Advertising and Promotion in 2018.
She is a recipient of multiple donor funded scholarships including:
- Board of Governors Scholarship
- John L. and Rita M. Bangs Scholarship
- Precious Moments Marketing Research Scholarship
- Dr. Robert W. & Charlotte K. Bitter Endowed Scholarship Fund
“The donors aren’t just giving us money but they’re also giving us more time,” said Rellergert.
In Rellergert’s time as a student, she actively participated in numerous groups in the local community, such as Girls on the Run, Sorority Life, and the Missouri State Ad Team. All of which have given her different skill sets to help her become successful in her future career.
“A lot of my experiences here, like working with real life clients, and working on the Ad Team… I think that that’s given me experience and helped me to know how to work with different types of people.”
She decided to come to Missouri State for the College of Business, and was mostly excited for the recent renovations of Glass Hall and the facilities made possible because of generous donor gifts.
Notable areas within Glass Hall she’s been excited to utilize include the Tim Foote and Mike Oldham Families Peak Performance Sales Lab for mock presentations, as well as the Marlin Think Tank for Creative Thinking in Business workspace, featuring state of the art technology for students.
“I think it’s really cool that people do give to students like me that have never met me because it really helps motivate [me]. Just getting that extra little push from a donor funded scholarship is enough to be like, someone else believes in me, I can get this done, I’m ready to graduate.”
