Planting blueberries and blackberries

Martin and Sonja planted the blackberry trial on Tuesday and started on the highbush blueberry trial on Wednesday. Here they are planting one of the blueberries after amending the soil with sphagnum peat moss.

Cultivars in the blueberry trial include Arlen, Aurora, Bluecrop, Bluegold, Draper, Duke, Elliott, Hanna’s Choice, Legacy, Liberty and Rubel. Blackberry test cultivars include Apache, Arapaho, Chester, Chickasaw, Natchez, Navaho, Ouachita, Prime-Jim, Prime-Jan and Triple Crown.
