I took refuge from a rainstorm in the high tunnel and found some distorted leaves in the primocane bearing raspberries. According to page 98 of the Midwest Small Fruit Pest Management Handbook, the culprit is the raspberry leafroller Olethreutes permundana, order Lepidoptera, family Tortricidae. I did not look at the planting outside of the tunnel since it was raining, but will do so later on.
Chen went out in the evening to check both the tunnel and the outdoor planting. He found 20 leafrollers in the tunnel and 10 in the outdoor planting. He said that most of them were smaller than the one in the photo.
