Spotted Wing Drosophila Fly Trap

This spotted wing drosophila trap has a cup of the yeast bait in the inside cup and drowning solution on the bottom of the outer container.

Spotted Wing Drosophila Flies have been captured in Arkansas and we are wondering if they are in Missouri. We are learning to set traps for the flies to see if they are in our area. Happy Retirement to Jack!

Jack Atchison, who has worked at the State Fruit Experiment Station for 27 years, is retiring. Presently a field and maintenance worker at the Mountain Grove Campus, he is known for his fondness of John Deere tractors, his possum dinners and turnip soups, and his legendary rain dance. Muscat spot on 3rd year Valvin Muscat grapevines

This is the third season for our Valvin Muscat grapevines in the field. We had noticed "Muscat spot" on them each year. Vineyard pests, problems and diseases

We believe this problem to be phomopsis (fungal) leaf spot on Catawba grape.
