Bagged raspberries thinned and fertilized

April 10, 2017 by Marilyn Odneal

We finished shoot thinning the bagged raspberries today. We left 6 shoots per bag, ultimately we need 4 – 5 for bag, but we left one additional for insurance. This was a good call since the ones that were thinned last Thursday had a few broken shoots due to wind over the weekend. We also fertilized each bag with 1 tablespoon of 14-14-14 osmocote.

Here is one of the bagged raspberries before the shoots were thinned.
