Planting ginger and turmeric in the high tunnel

July 6, 2018 by Marilyn Odneal

We planted ginger and turmeric in the high tunnel today for our Greenhouse and High Tunnel Workshop demonstration. We visited OakWoods Farm earlier this week to get pointers on managing this crop from Karen Scott. We planted Hawaiian Yellow Ginger, Khing Yai Yellow Ginger, Red Hawaiian Turmeric and White Mango Turmeric purchased from Biker Dude.

Karly (front) and Makayla, student interns at the experiment station, cultivate the raised beds.
