Grape root borer in old foundation vineyard

September 27, 2018 by Marilyn Odneal

The field crew was removing some vines from the Foundation vineyard and Jeremy found a grape root borer in the bed of the pickup after they had put the vines on the brush pile. Looking at the three vines that were removed from the foundation vineyard, several borers and tunnels were evident.

Looking at the vines that were pulled, we found several grape root borers in their tunnels. There is one by my thumb and a smaller one to the right at the edge of the photo.
