Red Pontiac potatoes and yellow onions were planted in the high tunnel by our field crew on February 20th. These crops are purchased by us for use in our annual fish fries and other events. We also have some ginger and turmeric growing on a heat mat in the greenhouse and we will transfer this to the high tunnel just to have a store of the cultivars available.
Since we are not holding the Greenhouse and High Tunnel Workshop this year, we have space in the tunnel to look at some crops that we have not tried before. We will keep you posted on what we decide to do.
