On November 1st, Ningxia University Wine Marketing students and Faculty visited the Fruit Station for a tour. It was a cold day, but the sun was shinning and everyone seemed to enjoy learning about the Fruit Station and how we grow grapes and process our wines. Jennifer gave an overview of the Fruit Station and Marilyn discussed the Fruit Station’s accredited tree Arboretum. Marilyn and Shelia discussed and demonstrated Mushroom harvest. Jeremy explained the Apple sorter and how it is used. Once in the field, Jeremy also discussed the different ways we prune Apple and Peach trees as well as the various trellising systems used in America for grapes. C. J. finished up the morning with a tour of the winery and distillery and explained the complete process the Fruit Station uses to make our wines and spirits.
