Summer internship 2021

August 18, 2021 by Marilyn Odneal

Emily, our summer intern, accomplished a lot this year including a significant part of the Satellite Mushroom Production project as well as completely updating the Ozarks Arboretum map. She also produced several videos on the mushroom project, primarily focusing on proper harvest techniques. We worked with several vendors who helped sell the mushrooms as well. Her last day was Friday, August 13.

Emily focused on harvest stages of both oyster and Bella mushrooms.

Emily is working on a minor in GIS and single-handedly update the Ozark Arboretum map using freeware. A GPS based map is the base-line for any precision agriculture system.

We had cake and ice cream for Emily's last day!
