At the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler Tours Fruit Experiment Station and Journagan Ranch

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler Toured the Fruit Experiment Station and the Journagan Ranch.   Dr. Elliott, CoAg Dean Emeritus and Ryan DeBoef, Assistant to MSU President Cliff Smart welcomed Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler to the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station for a visit. Dr. Hwang gave an update on research and grant funding and Jennifer Morganthaler gave a presentation about the history of the Fruit Station as well current research being conducted at the station. The group then met with Dr. Karl Wilker and Jeremy Emery for a short tour of the winery and distillery. The Congresswoman then visited the sales floor to meet additional faculty and staff and check out all of our products.  The visit ended the with a driving tour of the research fields and a trip to Journagan Ranch provided by Ranch Manager Marty Lueck and Dr. Elliott.

Jennifer gave a presentation about the history of the Fruit Station and some of the current research projects.
