Grape Phenology and GDD accumulation

GDD base 50 = 631  . We track GDD at http://agebb.missouri.edu/weather/reports/gddTable.asp and rate the phenology stages according to the Modified E-L System https://door.extension.wisc.edu/files/2010/10/ModifiedEichhornLorennzsystem.pdf

 

Winery Catawba E-L Stage 27 Setting; young berries enlarging (>2 mm
diam.), bunch at right angles to stem.
Research Norton E-L Stage 19 About 16 leaves separated; beginning of
flowering (first flower caps loosening).
Research Seyval E-L Stage 27 Setting; young berries enlarging (>2 mm
diam.), bunch at right angles to stem.
Research Catawba E-L Stage 27 Setting; young berries enlarging (>2 mm
diam.), bunch at right angles to stem.

Norton North E-L Stage 25 80% caps off.
New Winery Chambourcin E-L Stage 25 80% caps off
