MSU/GGP is celebrating Geography Awareness Week in September

GGP students receiving scholarships

Graduate Students Two M.S. Geology candidates, Joe Lane and Sarah Prost have each been awarded $4,000 by The American Federation of Mineralogical Societies in recognition of their continued education and to support their career choice of the Earth Sciences. Geology students get to explore in field study early

Professor Dr. Doug Gouzie lead the Geology, Speleology (GLG 350) class on a field trip to the Onondaga Cave State Park during the first week of the semester. Students learned about limestone - dolomite cave formation, stalagmites, stalactites, and flow stone formations in the cave. Students also viewed a unique feature, a shield formation.
