Joan Rivers has come and gone but certainly left an impression! Her shocking wit had the audience enthralled. Winter weather may be settling in, but Hammons Hall is getting ready to welcome the legendary Kris Kristofferson to our center stage. Kristofferson will perform on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Fun Fact: His birth name is Kristoffer Kristian Kristofferson.
Fun Fact: Kristofferson earned a B.A. in creative literature in 1958 from Ponoma College, Claremont, Calif. Ponoma later awarded him an honorary doctorate.
Fun Fact: Kristofferson’s big break in songwriting came because he landed a helicopter in Johnny Cash’s front yard, handed him some tapes, and Cash recorded “Sunday Morning Coming Down.” That song was named the Song Of The Year by the Country Music Association in 1970.
