Things are gearing up post-holiday for an exciting second half of the season at Juanita K. Hammons Hall. Just announced – a stand-up performance by Bill Maher, host of HBO’s Real Time, with tickets going on sale Friday, January 14th.

Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is also sale, and tickets are going fast.  Here’s an insider tip – best seating options are available for the recently-added Sunday matinee performance. If you are planning to come see this fabulous Broadway touring show in February, be sure and get your seats now!

We have another delightful family performance coming up on January 18th – the musical adventures of Strega Nona, based on Tomie de Paola’s beloved children’s books. Borders in the Primrose Center is featuring a special Strega Nona book display, with drawings for tickets to the show on Saturday the 8th and the 15th.

Other great shows this month include Hot 8 Brass Band, great young musicians from New Orleans who will put on a lively show on Saturday night, January 22nd – listen to Star 92.9 and 104.7 The Cave for an opportunity to win tickets! And young flutist Aleksandr Haskin will be in recital on Thursday night, January 27th, a part of our Don Wessel Emerging Concert Artist Series, which includes a meet the artist reception after the performance.
