The Children’s Ticket Fund at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts is very happy to partner with the Missouri Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC)  to provide theatre tickets and related books to students in area Title I elementary schools. Through this collaboration, nearly 350 children will receive their own book featuring children’s author Tomie dePaola’s beloved Strega Nona character, and will then get to see the story come to life on stage when the new touring production Strega Nona The Musical comes to Hammons Hall on January 18. Children benefitting from this project include students from Boyd, Fremont and Weller Elementary Schools in Springfield, Fair Grove Elementary, and Willard South Elementary.
