This program is FREE and open to the public, and features scenes selected from Homer’s Odyssey, Aeschylus’ Agamemnon, Sophocles’ Ajax and Euripides’ Herakles, followed by a town hall style discussion with Dr. Edwin Carawan, Missouri State University professor of Modern and Classical Languages. Ancient Greeks/Modern Lives is a major national initiative aimed at inspiring people to come together to read, see and think about classical literature and how it continues to influence and invigorate American cultural life.
