The lobby at Juanita K. Hammons Hall is overflowing with fans of WICKED! The iconic stage musical that tells the wildly inventive untold true story of the Witches of Oz has inspired equally inventive fans to attend performances in some of the most creative “looks” you can imagine!

Fan creativity features everything from simple color combinations of pink and green and black – in t-shirts, sweaters, dresses, skirts, pants and shoes.  And speaking of shoes – there are lots of sparkly ones, too, sometimes in the show’s iconic white slippers, sometimes in the beloved ruby slippers from the movie.  And to add to the fun, we’ve spotted more than one pair of sparkling cowboy boots!

The costumes ramp up to include witch hats, tiaras, wands, fancy dresses, black capes – ranging again from simple to very elaborate outfits.  All ages are dressing up, from darling kids to grown-up groups to grandmas and grandpas!  And fans support each other, commenting on and complimenting all the wonderful interpretations of the WICKED world.

We’re halfway through the run of shows, and audiences are thrilled with the strong cast, great voices, and amazing production values!  Good seats, with a variety of ticket prices, are still available for the remaining four performances: Saturday April 25 matinee at 2pm, evening performance at 8pm…and Sunday April 26 matinee at 1pm  and evening performance at 6:30pm.
