Concerned that a friend or loved one may be considering suicide or other self-harm? The Missouri State University Suicide Prevention Training Program was designed to help faculty, staff, and students prevent suicide by teaching you to:
- identify people at risk for suicide
- recognize the risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs of suicide
- respond to and get help for people at risk
This program takes about 20 minutes to complete. It is intended to be educational rather than therapeutic, and it must be completed in one sitting. Ask Listen Refer is a statewide online suicide prevention training program created for campuses throughout Missouri. It is funded in whole by a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health. There is no cost to participate in the online training.
