Hello fellow Bears! Monday is the start of an eventful week dedicated to the Health and Wellness of our students, faculty, and staff! As we saw last week when our email came out there are a few events being planned and implemented by SGA that deserve some attention and consideration. If you need feminine hygiene products, struggling to find health resources on campus, or struggling (or you know someone who is) with a substance use disorder related to drugs or alcohol then the events this week are for you! All three events have different days and times so make sure you are looking out for their flyers and have a great week learning about these topics!
Period Poverty Trial Week: March 8 – March 12
This weeklong event is aimed at helping those who need feminine hygiene supplies. The supplies include a menstrual cup, tampons, and pads. The organizers of this event are asking if you do take supplies to complete the survey, which will help them continue offering these services. This event is from March 8th- March 12th, these items will be in the most frequently used bathrooms in Glass hall, the PSU, and the residents hall.
Health Resource Tabling: March 8 and 9
This event will last two days, starting on Monday the 8th from 12pm-2pm and Tuesday March the 9th from 1pm-3pm in the PSU by the tables. This event will provide health and wellness resources to students. If you attend this event, you can get a free menstrual cup!
Drug and Alcohol Awareness: March 11
This event will take place on Thursday, March 11th from 1:30-3:30pm in the PSU Theater and will have information about the effects of drugs and alcohol and the impact it can have.
