The end of the spring semester is approaching. Missouri State strongly encourages you to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before you leave campus for the summer.
Having a vaccinated student body and workforce will mean Missouri State can have a more normal-looking fall semester.
As of April 9, everyone age 16 and up is eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
Magers Health and Wellness Center has the Pfizer vaccine available now. Pfizer requires two doses, with a 3-week waiting period in between the two.
You still have time to get fully vaccinated before the end of the semester. Magers will host Pfizer first-dose clinics starting Wednesday, April 21.

Benefits of getting vaccinated
- If you’re exposed to someone who has COVID-19, you won’t have to quarantine unless you develop symptoms.
- You won’t have to participate in most COVID-19 testing next fall.
- You can gather with other fully vaccinated people without wearing masks or socially distancing.
Schedule an appointment
You can schedule your vaccine appointment at Magers Health and Wellness Center through MyHealth Portal.
The COVID-19 vaccinations received at Magers are free to you.
If you will be leaving Springfield for the summer, please schedule your first vaccine at least three weeks before you plan to leave. That will provide time for you to receive both doses of the vaccine.
