Congrats to our very own Dr. Brooks Blevins. His work is highlighted in the next issue of Mind’s Eye, the university’s research publication. While his story won’t be in hard copy until the 2019 edition, it is now on the Mind’s Eye blog.

He studies the history of the Ozarks, and he’s literally writing the book on the topic. The first of the trilogy has already been published.

I noticed there wasn’t much good history of this region. A lot of the writings were influenced by folklore and travel writers. They tended to be romantic and unrealistic.
