The History Department at Missouri State University is proud to announce that one of our most distinguished members, Professor Holly Baggett, has been awarded University’s commendation for Excellence in Community Service. To quote from the letter she received:
“This award is in recognition of your long-standing achievements benefiting our community. We thank you, as we all collectively gain from your contributions. In recognition of your commitment to the public affairs mission both personally and professionally, this award is a tangible representation of Missouri State’s commitment to not only produce educated citizens among our students, but also its commitment to support the active citizenship of our faculty. It is one way for the entire Missouri State University community to express our pride in and appreciation for all your efforts and service.”
Professor Baggett will be presented with her award on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 3:00pm in Plaster Student Union’s Ballroom West. This is the all faculty award ceremony and we encourage you to attend. Professor Tom Dicke will also be acknowledged for his serving as Faculty Senate President as will those faculty who have published this year and won other awards.
