Congratulations Dr. Hill

April 27, 2020 by drb1982

The Department of History would like to congratulate Dr. David A. Hill for the successful defense of his doctoral dissertation in history,  “The Perception of Holiness: Spiritual Idealism in Late Medieval and Reformation England, 1350-1539”. Dr. Hill received both his BA and MA in History at Missouri State University after which we went on to complete his PhD under the supervision of Professor Eve Levin at the University of Kansas.

Professor David Gutzke, who served on Dr. Hill’s examination committee noted: “Having worked with him extensively while he was our student, and later as a mentor during his doctoral career, I was delighted to accept an invitation to join the examination committee. I am sure not only we in the Department of History, but more broadly the College and the University, all celebrate Dr. Hill’s achievement and welcome him into our profession.”
