Hospitality Leadership

Strategic Planning for Signature Hospitality Program

April 28, 2016 by Shawn Erdman

strategic

Throughout the spring semester, the hospitality faculty, staff, and board of advisors held multiple strategic planning sessions. The resulting strategic plan will serve two purposes. First, the plan will guide the department’s efforts to support Missouri State University’s 2016-2021 long-range plan. Second, the plan will offer a road map for the department’s efforts to become a signature program of the university.

The university as well as the department will focus attention on the following areas:

  • Academic Profile
  • Student Experience
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Globalization
  • Infrastructure
  • Funding

The university’s long-range plan is now available online. As we enter the 2016-2017 academic year, expect to hear more about the department’s implementation of the strategic plan.
