Accidents happen, and we have ways to keep you covered

June 23, 2021 by Deidre Mings

June is National Safety Month

The university’s voluntary accident plan with Allstate offers benefits for both on and off the job accidents. The plan has 2 benefit level options, see the plan brochure here .  The accidental coverage can help cover expenses. Benefits from the accident policy are paid to the employee and can be used however the employee sees fit.

Missouri State University strives to keep employees safe at work. In the unlikely event you are injured on the job, we want you to know what to do. If you are injured on the job, you and your supervisor have responsibilities related to injury reporting. Even if you do not intend to file a workers compensation claim, incidents should be reported. For questions contact Denise Lofton, senior benefits specialist, 417-836-5892 or refer to additional information at Human resources benefits site.
