Take control of your health – Diabetes

March 15, 2023 by Deidre Mings

Whether newly diagnosed or you are supporting a family member, Diabetic education, treatment, and prevention are important. Anti-Diabetic medications account for the number one prescription cost on the MSU health plan. Individuals living with diabetes are at higher risk for other health complications as well. Management is important, discuss with your provider your risks factors. Schedule an appointment with Magers Health and wellness center, or find an MSU insurance plan in-network provider.

The American Diabetes Association website provides education, tools, and support for those living with diabetes, those supporting loved ones, and/or those who have potential risk as a pre-diabetic. Virtually, everyone will fall into one of these categories.

Employee Wellness has programming offering additional support here on campus.

A unit may be multiple visits with different specialists over multiple days.
