A Valuable Resource for Employee Families
In 1964, Missouri State University opened a preschool laboratory for practicum experiences in child and family development and early childhood education. This evolved into the Child Development Center in 1999, combining infant, toddler, and preschool programs into a single facility at 609 E. Cherry. Part of the College of Education, it offers various activity areas, classrooms, and support spaces, serving up to 88 children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. While there is a waiting list, employees get priority enrollment (following sibling placement) and receive discounted rates. Enjoy peace of mind with this invaluable resource, staffed by qualified teachers and supervised practicum students.
The Missouri State Child Development Center operates year-round, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., following the University calendar. For more information and enrollment, contact Director Jamie Cornelsen at 417-836-6759.
