Medical flexible spending account participants may be surprised to learn several everyday items are reimbursement eligible.
- Child friendly items, such as first aid supplies, hand sanitizer, Mighty Patch Acne treatments and facial cleansing wipes, and lip balm with SPF of 15 or higher.
- Other over-the-counter (OTC) products, including blood pressure monitors, diabetic supplies, contact lens solution, menstrual care products, sunscreen, drugs and medicines are just a few of the eligible OTC items.
Itemized receipts are required by ASIFlex to verify expenses when using the ASIFlex debit card.
FSAstore.com
All items sold at the FSA store are eligible for Flex spending account reimbursement.
Go to ASIFlex.com/MissouriState and click on the FSA Store link.
Sign in to your ASI account first, then click through to the FSA Store. If you go directly to fsastore.com, you’ll need to submit claims manually. By accessing through your ASI account and using cardless pay at checkout, claims are automatic — no receipts needed!
- Save $5 off FSAstore.com items with code TAKE24C (apply code at checkout, one use per customer, valid through Dec. 31, 2024).
Flexible spending elections and open enrollment
Flexible spending elections must be made each year during open enrollment (Nov. 1-Dec. 1) through the MoCafe/ASIFlex site, not the benefits enrollment site.
