💰 Get Your Taxes Done for FREE in 2026

Tax season is here, and free help is available if you qualify.

🧾 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Community Partnership of the Ozarks is offering FREE tax preparation services for low- to moderate-income individuals and families through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.


✅ Step 1: See if You Qualify

You may qualify if:

  • Your household income is $67,000 or less

  • You do not have rental property, farm income, or cryptocurrency trading

  • You do not have bankruptcy or self-employment losses


📅 Step 2: Schedule an Appointment

You can schedule your VITA appointment online:

You may also call or text 417-720-2000 to find a convenient time and location. (Please note: call volumes may be high.)


📂 Step 3: Prepare Your Documents

Bring the following to your appointment:

  • All W-2 and 1099 forms

  • Valid photo ID for each taxpayer

  • Social Security cards for all taxpayers and dependents

  • Routing and account number for direct deposit

  • 1098-T (for college students)

  • 1095-A (if you had Marketplace/ACA coverage)

  • Landlord’s name, address, and phone number (if applying for rent rebate)


⏰ Step 4: Arrive Prepared

Arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for document review and check-in.
