A chronicle of Missouri State immersion service trips

Take A Chance

October 23, 2017 by Kaylan Butler

Immersing yourself into something new can be scary. Learning the history , culture and way of life of others that may be totally different than yours. Serving along side others and lending a helping hand. Reflecting on yourself and your service while fully diving into the experience. These are a few few characteristics of Bear Breaks Immersion trips. After going on my first Bear Breaks trip last spring and seeing myself help to make a difference. Seeing how to bring service back to my community of Springfield. Serving like I did in New Orleans back to my own backyard. Great ways to change things are through educating yourself so you can make a difference. Being selfless and finding skills within yourself to contribute to a group. Bear Break trips help make leaders so I would recommend all of my friends and peers to take a chance and see what difference you could make to someone else.
