New Orleans Trip: Day One

March 11, 2018 by Lane Borsa

My name is Rowan Bond, and I have just traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana with Bear Breaks. I have experienced a lot today in just travelling. I’m excited to get started tomorrow.

Driving Down

The drive down to New Orleans was long. We left at 5:30 in the morning, and drove through cities such as Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi. The drive down offered the experience of seeing these cities, which was neat.

Arriving in NOLA

We arrived in New Orleans around 6 PM. After that time, we ate dinner and picked up groceries. These simple activities have allowed me to view the city.

First Impressions

New Orleans is eerily beautiful and haunting. I have already become entranced. The buildings have a different and unique look, which make the city feel older. With this, the city also feels like it is perpetually full of puddles, giving the feel of the city more depth. Furthermore, I am excited to experience NOLA and the rest of this trip.
