I came to New Orleans knowing nothing about the culture and tradition except for what I see through social media and television. During our stay, we met so many people who are trying to make a difference by helping to rebuild the community, provide services and educate people. These who all victim of a devasting event are all working together to pick up what is left and rebuild which is what makes a good community. We have seen the lower 9th ward to the French quarter which means we had seen the difference between the haves and have not, the difference of in terms of lifestyle. We visiting many areas such as the cemetery which we learn more about history and tradition in New Orleans. A museum that provided more information about hurricane Katrina as well as local people and hearing their personal experience during the event. Tomorrow we are going back home not just with experience and also we are more aware and more information about what happened in New Orleans as well as custom and tradition.
