Bear Breaks Immersion Programs recognized for commitment to Public Affairs

The Bear Breaks team, including Advisors, Executive Board members, Trip Leaders, and participants were honored to receive three STAR Awards during the 2020 Student Talent and Recognition ceremony in April.

  • Outstanding Service/Volunteer Program of the Year Award
  • Distinguished Merit Award

Learn about Bear Breaks

Bear Breaks hosts alternative break immersion programs for Missouri State University students. Through a service curriculum based on the university’s Public Affairs mission as well as components from the alternative break program Break Away, participants will become Active Citizens in their own communities while understanding diverse social issues that affect all communities.
