Dear Faculty and Staff:
In appreciation, Missouri State’s Athletics Department is making $3 tickets available to faculty and staff for the final regular-season home basketball games of the Bears and Lady Bears.
I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to come to the games, experience JQH Arena (especially for new employees and their families), and help show our appreciation for the seniors on both teams. The doors open at 6:05 p.m., so come early, see the Hall of Fame, watch the scoreboard, hear the Bear Mania Band, and soak up the family-friendly atmosphere. The games are:
Bears – 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, February 22 (vs Indiana State)
Lady Bears – 7:05 p.m. Saturday, March 3 (vs Bradley)
I hope you will plan to attend one or both games. I want to thank the Athletics Department for making these discounted tickets available to our faculty and staff. Here are the details…..
- All Missouri State employees may purchase tickets for just $3 for either or both games
- The tickets for the Bears will be in the upper bowl or lower bowl end zones
- The tickets for Lady Bears will be in the lower bowl end zones
- All tickets are available beginning today (Wednesday, February 15) at the Chevy Pickup Window in JQH Arena – the hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on weekends when there are events in the Arena (such as this weekend, February 17, 18 and 19)
- A valid BearPass Card is required for the discount, which may not be combined with any other offer
Senior Night activities will take place prior to each game, with each senior player being recognized with his or her family as well as a faculty mentor. It is a very special ceremony, so I hope you will come early enough to see it.
The Bears, who are currently in third place in the conference standings, will recognize four seniors: Kyle Weems, Caleb Patterson, Isaiah Rhine and Michael Bizoukas. Kyle recently became the first player in Missouri Valley Conference history to record 1,800 career points, 800 rebounds and 200 three-pointers. He currently ranks No. 4 on the Missouri State career scoring list and is just the fourth MVC player over the past 10 years to eclipse 1,800 points.
Five senior Lady Bears will be recognized: Casey Garrison, Lacey Boshe, Jasmine Malone, Jaleshia Roberson, and Regan Soldner. Casey is the No. 2 scorer in Lady Bear history, behind only Jackie Stiles, and Casey ranks as the third-best scorer in conference history. She is the only player in Missouri State history to rank among the team’s all-time top 10 in scoring, rebounding and assists. The Lady Bears are currently tied for the lead in the MVC standings.
Come join us for these two great games and to honor these nine student-athletes.
Go Bears!
