A one stop-shop for students, faculty, staff and the community to learn about leadership and curricular and co-curricular service opportunities has opened in Plaster Student Union. The space includes the new Center for Leadership & Volunteerism and the relocation of Citizenship and Service-Learning (CASL). The newly designed space is state of the art and is open for all to visit.
About the office space
Located across from Starbucks on the first floor of the PSU, the outside of the new office space features photos of students doing service and participating in leadership programs. The photos and lights on the outside are inspired by the S.O.S pattern to symbolize how we focus on our abilities to fix our problems and to come to those in need.
Inside the space, a large green glass wall will feature current programs and announcements. The back wall showcases images of famous leaders that have shaped our world.
About the offices
The Center for Leadership & Volunteerism is home to leadership development programs, including the Centennial Leaders, Emerging Leaders and the Distinction in Public Affairs programs, and volunteer programs, like Bear Blitz service days and alternative breaks.
CASL, under the division of academic affairs, continues to provide academic service-learning opportunities for students, and the larger space allows for expanded programs and services to students, faculty and community partners.
