In the next few days, you’ll receive a packet containing information about the combined United Way Campaign and the Missouri State Way Campaign (formerly called the All-University Faculty and Staff Campaign). These are the only two official fundraising campaigns that the University supports and promotes, and combining the campaigns last year was both successful and well-received.
Please participate in both campaigns
Please take a moment to review the materials and join me in making a commitment to both our campus and our community by making a gift to each campaign.
- The United Way serves the neediest of our neighbors in Springfield and the Ozarks. These agencies do good work for our community and they deserve our support, as volunteers and contributors. Please return your United Way pledge form to Tami Reed in Internal Audit.
- The Missouri State Way Campaign allows us to invest in what we believe in: higher education and our own university. You may designate your gift for student scholarships, a special program or even your own department or college. If we are not willing to invest in ourselves, why should others? Please make a gift online.
Participating in both of these campaigns is consistent with the principles of our public affairs mission: ethical leadership, community engagement and cultural competence. Donors to both campaigns do make a difference.
Attend the Celebration Breakfast on Oct. 22
I want to personally invite participants of either campaign to the Celebration Breakfast that will be held from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the ballroom at Plaster Student Union. I look forward to seeing you there.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours very truly,
Clif
