Payroll is pleased to announce an enhancement to employee self-service accessible through My Missouri State. Current faculty and staff can now use Employee Self-Service to make changes to your federal Form W-4 Withholding Allowance Certificate.

Changes to state withholding must continue to be completed on a paper form and submitted to payroll. International employees are subject to special rules and must meet with the International Tax Accountant in payroll to complete all tax forms.

Paycheck checkup

Have you performed your “paycheck checkup” yet? Because of the recent changes to the tax law for 2018, the IRS encourages everyone to use the withholding calculator to perform a quick “paycheck checkup.”

The calculator helps you identify your tax withholding to make sure you have the right amount of tax withheld from your paycheck. You can access the calculator on the IRS website or on the payroll webpage under Federal and State W-4s.

If you determine you need to change your federal withholding, check out this new enhancement and make your change today through My Missouri State on the Profile tab. Under Self-Service Options click on employee, Tax Forms, W4 Federal Withholding Allowance and Update.
