NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising presented awards to four Missouri State faculty and staff as part of the 2018 Global Awards Program for Academic Advising.
- Kathy J. Davis, director of the advisement center, is the recipient of the Virginia N. Gordon Award for Excellence in the Field of Advising.
- Brittany Wise, psychology advisement coordinator, is the recipient of the Outstanding Advising Award – Primary Advising Role
- Dr. Danielle Lillge, former Missouri State English professor, is the recipient of the Outstanding New Adviser Award – Faculty Academic Advising
- Karmen Ketchum-Brewer, academic adviser and retention specialist, was recognized for the “Challenging Our Bears” program. She recieved the Outstanding Advising Program Award – Certificate of Merit recipients
Since 1983, NACADA has honored individuals and institutions that work to improve academic advising. NACADA promotes academic advising and professional development to help students succeed.
Faculty and staff recieved their awards Sept. 30 at the NACADA Annual Conference.
